Skilled Migrant

This is the most common route to residence in New Zealand. It is designed to match migrants' skills and experience with New Zealand's human capital requirements. This is a two-step process which starts with the submission of an Expression of Interest and invitation to apply. A candidate will see their Expression of Interest accepted and be Invited to Apply (ITA) for residence if they meet at least 160 points and if they satisfy mandatory health and character requirements.

Residence from Work

Residence from Work Category is an employer assisted residence visa category. You may also be eligible for residence if you are applying from a Long Term Skill Shortage List Work Visa, whereby you are working for an employer in New Zealand in an occupation on the Long Term Skill Shortage List for 2 years and receiving a base salary of at least NZ$ 45,000 per annum OR if you have held a Talent (Accredited Employer) Work visa for at least 24 months and have been employed full time for that period by an accredited employer with a base salary of at least NZ$55,000 per annum.

Residence Visa

If you have skills, qualifications or experience that New Zealand needs, you may apply for a resident visa. Under the Skilled Migrant Category, applicants are assessed based on a points system where factors such as age, work experience, qualifications and skilled employment offers determine the eligibility. You must also be aged 55 or below and meet English language, health, and character requirements. It is also possible to apply for New Zealand Residence through work or family sponsorship.

Essential Skills Work Visa

In order to qualify for an essential skills work visa, an applicant must have a job offer for a fulltime job. You will also need to show that you meet the skill level requirement by having either a relevant qualification or work experience. This visa is granted from 1 to 5 years and may be renewable.

Long Term Skill Shortage Work Visa

If your occupation is listed on Long Term Skills Shortage list, your visa application may be processed markedly faster, and lead to a residence class visa. To be eligible, you'll need to have held a Long Term Skill Shortage List Work visa for at least 24 months & have been employed full time for that period in an occupation on the Long Term Skill Shortage List. Your visa will also specify a specific employer and location, based on your job offer.

Talent (Accredited Employer) Work Visa

If your skillset is in demand with one of the 600+ New Zealand Accredited Employers and you're offered full-time employment for at least 24 months, at or above NZ$ 55,000 per annum, you may be granted a 30 month work visa leading to residence. You also must be 55 years old or under.

Other Visa

Finding a job in New Zealand is often the pathway to permanent residence, with the New Zealand government placing more emphasis on residence applicants with skilled job offers as means of settling and contributing to New Zealand. There are a number of temporary work visa categories, most of which require you to have a job offer before you can apply for the visa. New Zealand employers who require a specific skillset are usually willing to consider foreign workers if they are not able to find the ideal candidate within New Zealand.

Visit Visas

If you are looking to holiday in New Zealand, or wish to visit family and friends, then you can do so through a visitor visa. Under the Visitor Visa Category are a range of visas that allow you to come to New Zealand for a holiday or to visit friends and family. There are also special visitor visas that allow other activities like short term study or some business activities.

Student Visas

This visa allows you to study in New Zealand for a period of more than 3 months. You need to be enrolled with an approved education provider. We deal with onshore and offshore student visa applications. We can assist you with subsequent student visa, extension of your study, change of course and other matters relating to your student visa. Studying in New Zealand at a University or Tertiary Institution is a great way to migrate to New Zealand and obtain an internationally recognised qualification.

Partner Visa

This is a permanent visa for the partner of an eligible New Zealand citizen and resident. The New Zealand citizen must sponsor the partner. If your partner is a New Zealand resident/citizen, but you have been together for less than 12 months, you may be granted a temporary work visa valid for a maximum of 24 months. If your partner is a work visa holder, your partnership work visa would be granted for the same duration as theirs.

Parent Visa

This is a permanent visa for parents of eligible New Zealand citizens and residents. The New Zealand citizen must sponsor the visa applicants. An Expression of Interest (EOI) is required. People whose EOI has been drawn from the pool might be invited to apply for residence.

Entrepreneur / Investment Visa

Business Visas are for experienced business persons, intending to buy or establish their own business and for investors. Options are available for experienced business persons interested in being self-employed in their own business in New Zealand or persons who have successfully established their own business or those who can invest NZ$ 750,000 upwards.
